Keith Moller – Baptist Union of South Africa
Keith, together with his wife Christeen and their 2 young Children, has committed the last 8 years to working amongst the Yao tribe. The Yao are spread throughout the east of Malawi into Northern Mozambique and South east Tanzania. They are unusual in southern Africa as they are predominantly Muslim.
Keith and Christeen seek to bring the love of Christ into a community which consists of 10 villages in a mountain range to the east of Lake Malawi. Living in very basic conditions they minister to these people through bible study and a series of practical initiatives. These have included Water engineering, advice on crops, and basic hygiene programmes.
More recently they have provided food aid to around 10,000 people in this area who had run out of food and were not being reached by WFP handouts. Africalink was able to support this work with a grant of $16,000.
